Story
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service provides our community with a 24 hour, seven day a week aeromedical service that is FREE of charge to all who need it.
Our missions are diverse and include search and rescue, transporting critically ill or injured persons and the transfer of patients between hospitals for specialist care. Each year the role performed by the helicopters is becoming greater, so much so that over 1,000 missions are completed each year.
In order to provide this free service, the Rescue Helicopters rely heavily upon the support of the community.
